- Founded in 1935 as Hell Yard Boys (Hell Yard is a poor area of Port of Spain), the band name changed several times until in 1946 the final one was found. Called a Trinidad institution and going ever since, generations of musicians played in this steel drum big band, and over the decades it has been granted a couple of awards.
