Singer. Cannon grew up in Melbourne, and in 1958 became the vocalist in The Thunderbirds, one of Melbourne's earliest rock 'n' roll bands. In the early-1960s, she moved to Sydney where she was a regular on "Bandstand", "Six O’Clock Rock" and "The Johnny O’Keefe Show".
After Channel 7 refused to increase her pay in 1963, Cannon moved to London where she worked as a singer and eventually as an actress.
