Pop and big band singer and songwriter. In the 1940s she performed with Tommy Tucker, Vaughn Monroe, Skitch Henderson, Gene Krupa, Buddy Morrow and Art Mooney. In 1948 she began to record for Mercury under her own name. In 1954 she married songwriter, Jack Segal. Together they wrote scores for network television musical shows and pop songs. As Maddy Segal, she formed and ran music publishing firms.
