Comments: Project very successfully blending Disco, Funk, Rock elements and Reggae. Founded in 1976 and led by multi instrumentalist Kurt Hauenstein and best known for their world wide hit "Lovemachine". Supermax was also the first 'mixed-race' act to perform in then apartheid South Africa - and Hauenstein the first white musician playing at the Reggae Sunsplash (Montego Bay/Jamaica).
