Comments: Country music performer and band leader from West Virginia. He formed his band, Dick Hartman's Tennessee Ramblers, in the late 1920s and they recorded for Bluebird in 1935. He left the band in late 1936 and they continued on as the Tennessee Ramblers under the direction of Cecil Campbell. Hartman appeared in a few western films in the 1930s and 1940s.
