Comments: Started in 1975 and including quite some of the finest German (and some international), partly rotating Jazz instrumentalists, the UJ+RE absolved their 'Farewell Tour' in 2002. The ensemble hardly ever played or recorded tunes not penned by members. Their first LP, "Live im Schützenhaus" (1977) was the first Jazz group recording to sell more than 250,000 copies in Germany. It was the first release on Mood Records, which was founded as a platform for the UJ+RE and its members.
