- Tenor, who - from 1916 onwards - sang at the Deutschen Opernhaus in Berlin-Charlottenburg, where he stayed for the rest of his career. In 1923 he undertook a US tour, including performances at the New York Metropolitan Opera, which were positively reviewed. Between October 1923 and May 1924 he recorded a number of records in German with songs from operettas and folk songs for the Victor Co. in New York.
