Before we had "Oh What a Circus" as an adaptation of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"; but that wasn't satisfying either.
Yes, but you should rename the work "Oh what a circus" to [Don't Cry for Me Argentina - Oh What a Circus] to make the instrumentals match. Now, the page looks like a real circus!
Yes, this page looks real messy. What brought me here is that there are currently two groups of instrumentals. As currently visualized, one of these groups indicates no "written by" next to the work header, which indicates to me coding errors/omissions.
If there is no standard solution for a particular situation, treat one as a new root work referencing the actual root work in the comments. The guidelines are supposed to serve the site/editors; the site/editors are not supposed to serve the guidelines.

I've provided my observations. No more involvement, deferring to the editors.
Currently on hold while we sort out this possible bug : Bulk edit work : Not allowed to created an instrumental version of a lyricization
All instrumentals have been moved to Don't Cry for Me Argentina .
Only one entry remaining, Sörj inte mig, Argentina , see Case #406090
and also isntrumental submissions, which can't be moved for technical reasons:
