I’m wondering if this actually counts as a straight cover. It could be an adaptation, because there are a lot of original new music and lyrics Scooter adds to this song.

GEMA lists Ramp! as a title variant of The Logical Song, not a separate adaptation.

But I guess it would be relevant to add some comment about the additional music and lyrics. Would you care to write it? Smile

Sure, ASCAP and BMI also only list the original song's songwriters.


Maybe the comment could be something like this:

"Scooter's version borrows only the first half of the first stanza from the original song. It's repeated 4 times as a vocal sample, and as the song's main melody. There are also additional EDM melodies and vocal chants in between."
