Digital releases did not exist in 2005 Sjef Smeets . Please provide details for the original 2005 CD or LP release.

Indeed Sjef Smeets . As you know, we can't verify a submission like this without the correct info. The digital version came out last month. The best that I've been able to do is an indication that the original CD was issued in January 2006 with EAN 0094635129854.

The best I can do is as follows. I have 19 KURT DARREN CD's and the song is not on any of them. I have only one IRENE (VAN WYK) CD and the song is also not there.

But I found the discogs link to a 5 SET COMPILATION CD from EMI called VARIOUS - 100 SA COUNTRY TREFFERS

On CD 4 track 20 is WE'VE GOT TONITE by IRENE & KURT DARREN.

is a compilation album (5 cd set), released 2013,

so we can savely change "Lyne Van Jou Lyf" from album digital into album cd

problem is that SHS won't let me do that, If I type the name of the album than SHS fills in album - digital.

This would imply that the release date also will change from 2005 to 2013.

I'm feeling disappointed with this solution. All we need to file the release from 2005 is the EAN and the Cat-numbers.

Yes, there is (was) a CD, and so it should be in the SHS Database. Of course we would prefer to have the info complete, but it's better to have it in that database incomplete than to not have it in the database at all.

(like in Discogs: lots of records there have incomplete information, like no date of release, but the records are there to be found, and -hopefully- to be completed somewhere in the future)

I'm still not giving up the hope to obtain the info we need. I'll write an e-mail to Kurt Darren. Unfortunately Irene van Wyk died in a car accident in 2009 and I don't like to bother her daughter or her ex-husband with the request.

Could you provide evidence of the CD Sjef Smeets ? The ideal would be a picture of the CD. We can include exceptionally without the cat number or EAN, but we need the original label, and firm evidence of the CD and release date.
