I think "Ruby" as a substitute for rather well-known author "Beverly Ross" is one step too far.

It's the same person, yes, but I'd like to see "Ruby" as a singing alias here.

I agree with Walt. This artist is more commonly known as Beverly Ross. Not only did she write as Beverly Ross but she also sang on more records as Beverly Ross than she did as Ruby.
