Error description

Hi. This is regarding the song Va' e' de' där? by Monica Zetterlund. It says on the page that the original song writer is Bobby Timmons. This is true but Dat Dere as performed by Timmons is an instrumental jazz piece sans vocals as can be heard on YouTube.

However, the version of Timmons' tune which arguably inspired Zetterlund/Wolgers (*) is Oscar Brown Jr.'s version, also available on YouTube. Listen to the Swedish cover and Browns version back-to-back and this will become very obvious. Smile

(*) They are, sadly, both dead and so cannot confirm or otherwise. But Like I say up there it is very obvious. Wolgers' text follows Browns' very closely; a most congenial translation. (I am a Swede fluent in English).

As the error report goes for an adaptation/translation added by me:

This is all quite right, incl. the Swedish lyrics being based Oscar Brown's - I was born in Sweden and my English is quite fluent, too...

Legally and officially, adding lyrics to an originally instrumental work is treated just as that, no matter if those lyrics might be losely translated from lyrics in another language.

As our codex includes striving to reflect official registrations etc., we in cases like this add according comments to respective work pages, which I just did to the Va' e' de' där one.

Jag hoppas du är nöjd med det... at least for the time being...
