This would count as a new adaptation due to the new music. On an unrelated note, whoever thought this was a good idea should be shot 
I didn't pick up any additional or new music in these, at least not enough to trigger adaption treatment? Sure it's not just the arrangements?
I'll listen again when I get a chance but it sounded to me like they just took the lyrics and added new dance music to them.
By the way and in case you are interested, a similar series of covers but in a gothic style is by J2 …; however, most of the submissions did not link to the artist.
Michael - what did you determine on this case? New adaptation or straight cover?
