normal and correct spelling would be

"The sun ain't gonna shine (anymore)"

I certainly agree "any more" should be one word, so I corrected that.


However, should "anymore" be between parenthesis? I couldn't find pictures of the original release, just this back cover of a CD:

I didn't find either original albums picture but that picture that you post was walker brothers album and example for david essex's album has different style. I did send email to person who seems to own Frankie Valli Solo album so if he wanna be friendly he send email to me so we can be sure.

In bmi catalog has legal title almost like you say. "Sun ain't gonna shine anymore" but there aren't "The" on front of it. But every album has it.

BMI always ignores "the" at the start of titles. It's a good source, but absolutely not for this kind of use.
