Q... Trying to get a handle on this artist. Are we sure that "New Trolls" and "I Trolls" should be considered the same group? You would be clearly more familiar with this band than I will ever be, but the reason for my inquiry is that Discogs considers them separate and I don't even see them cross referenced other than some overlapping members:

https://www.discogs.com/artist/560713-New-Trolls

Some observations: The I Trolls seem to go back as far as 1965 with their first single in 1966 (the SHS bio starts at 1967 and I don't see an earlier band name as an alias on site: Golfingers). I also noticed that I Trolls seem to only release singles while the New Trolls released LPs. Finally the dates overlap for releases, i.e. they were releasing under both names?

If I had to guess, the I Trolls were the original band. Some members left and created the New Trolls. Both bands were active during some period of time.

A lead I found scanning the singles:

I didn't create the relation between I Trolls and New Trolls. The Discogs biography clearly explain the relation between the two bands, and I agree I Trolls should not be an alias of the New Trolls, who were formed when Pino Scarpettini was conscripted for military service. Scarpettini went on using the name I Trolls (and other aliases) for some more years after New Trolls were formed.
