This is the original version of Turn your radio on by Lead Belly as Turn yo' radio on (This the oridigna l title!!) . It's from 1937 and recorded by Alan Lomax in the Library of Congress recordings sessions.

Except for the phrase "turn your radio on" the words and music for the Leadbelly song are different from those of the Brumley song. I added a comment about the earlier Leadbelly song on the webpage for Brumley's work. Thank you for your input.
