- Founded by former ABC/Dunhill Records executive Marshall Blonstein as Dunhill Compact Classics to reissue recordings on audiophile 24k gold-plated CD and vinyl LPs. British American Tobacco sued the company because of the use of the Dunhill name, forcing the company to rename itself DCC Compact Classics. In later years, it shifted its focus to include issuing various artists compilations via Sony Music Special Products.
