- Introduced in 1930, the Polk label was produced by the Brunswick Radio Corporation for James K. Polk, Inc. of Atlanta, GA. These were all custom pressings from masters derived from Brunswick, Melotone and Vocalion (2) catalogs. The label was discontinued when the American Record Corporation took over production of the Vocalion race series in December, 1931.
