A musical by Harold Arlen (music and lyrics) and Truman Capote (lyrics and book), based on Capote's short story first published in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". This was Capote's first musical and was since it played in the Carribean - the first theatrical production outside of Trinidad and Tobago to feature the new Caribbean instrument—the steel pan.
Its Broadway opening was on December 30, 1954 at the Alvin Theatre, where it played for 165 performances until May 21, 1955.
