- A Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Abe Burrows. The story concerns the showgirls of the Montmartre dance halls during the 1890s. The original production, which Burrows also directed, starred Lilo as La Mome Pistache, Hans Conried as Boris, Peter Cookson as Judge Aristide Forestier, Gwen Verdon as Claudine and Erik Rhodes as Hilaire. Date is for the Broadway premiere at the Shubert Theatre. This production was a big hit running 892 performances.
