- Musical comedy based on "Ninotchka" by Melchior Lengyel and its 1939 movie adaptation "Ninotchka". Music and lyrics were by Cole Porter. It opened in Philadelphia at the Shubert Theatre with its Broadway opening on February 24, 1955 at the Imperial Theatre. This was the last musical that Porter wrote for the stage. In 1957 the musical was made into a film Silk Stockings [movie].
