Musical comedy with music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, book by Neil Simon, and choreography by Bob Fosse (for which he won a Tony Award) who, with Cy Feuer, co-directed the production. The musical received favorable critical response and ran 257 performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, but nevertheless lost money. There have been two revivals of this play.
The date is for the first preview of the production. It officially opened on November 17, 1962.
