Comments: Musical operetta; its Broadway premiere was November 30, 1926, at the Casino Theatre, It ran 471 performances at three different Broadway theatres. It was inspired by the 1925 Moroccan uprising by the Riffs, a Berber ethnic group with a large population in northern Morocco.
