A musical about three sailors on leave in wartime New York City.
Date is for the Broadway premiere at the Adelphi Theatre. The musical ran for 463 performances - a big hit at the time - at three different Broadway theatres. The show has subsequently been revived unsuccessfully three times in New York.
A movie version was released in 1949 with almost all different music.
