It premiered under the baton of the composer on 21 February 1930 in Budapest. "John Cunlight" was played by Louis Treumann and Viktoria by Lizzi Waldmüller. Furthermore, "Graf Ferry Hegedüs" by Oscar Dénes, "Riquette" by Mimi Shorp, "Stefan Koltay" the Husar, by Otto Maran and "Jancsi" by Fritz Steiner.
