Musical comedy based on the novel "Gowns by Roberta" by Alice Duer Miller. It opened in Philadelphia at the Forrest Theatre as "Gowns by Roberta". Its Broadway opening was on November 18, 1933 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
It was made into a movie in 1935 with songs deleted and new ones added.
