- Romantic musical comedy dealing with a labor dispute in a pajama factory. It is based on "7½ Cents", a novel by Richard Bissell. The first show was as part of a tryout run at the Schubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, with its Broadway opening taking place at the St. James Theatre on May 13, 1954. The original cast recording was recorded a few days later, and released in June 1954.
