Why do I get this mess when I do a search for a song called

"You've Got Possibilities"?? It happened when I put it in the Discover box and pushed Go.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the song?

I do have one issue that involves this topic: https://secondhandsongs.com/case/65418 . This relates to the submission of the work "Seduced" and several covers. I think I entered the original and all covers on February 8th, and I believe I delay locked the topic. I noticed that on the new interface, the "Seduced" submission showed up as open. I couldn't simply lock or delay lock the topic with the new system. To close the topic, I had to reject the submission, although I had already processed it, including all covers.

You can mark "generic" submissions as processed now. Due to a bug, the button wasn't shown.

You can also search for it in the Participate > Search screen: click on "More search criteria", fill out "Title" and hit enter. As you'll see, nothing matches.

The "discover" search will search in "full text" mode. This means that it will search for contributions where all those words appear in any order, but still favoring the best matches. Since nothing matches, you get seemingly unrelated results, but those results do contain every word you searched for.

Not sure if this is related to the new interface, but I'm trying to delete This Will Be (Everlasting Love), which turns out to be an original rather than a cover. But when I go to delete it, I get the following error message:

"Internal error - A new entity was found through the relationship 'ShsBundle\Entity\Part#performance' that was not configured to cascade persist operations for entity: ShsBundle\Entity\Performance@000000004f5e6d590000000058c031af. To solve this issue: Either explicitly call EntityManager#persist() on this unknown entity or configure cascade persist this association in the mapping for example @ManyToOne(..,cascade={"persist"}). If you cannot find out which entity causes the problem implement 'ShsBundle\Entity\Performance#__toString()' to get a clue."

Can you advise?

Please create a ticket for that. I will look at it as soon as I have time.

It's the same as before: add a comment with a link to the performance, and then hit the button "register performance". See attachment.

I've tried this, but somehow I'm not presented with the option to "Register the Performance"...... Perhaps this happened because it was a new adaptation ?!

Thanks for the feedback !

It must be a link to the performance, not the work. You can still reopen it, add the correct link and register the performance.

A general remark for everyone: if you feel you shouldn't reject a submission but don't see another way to close it, first ask me instead of rejecting it and then ask me.

Again, under the user's submissions you were able to sort the "Artists".

It would sort the artist in alphabetical order, you can then easily look down the list to see what artist you were familiar with and then have at it. Why would I want to sort the comments, but not the artist's names in alphabetical order.

I thought the 2 most important criteria to use are the song title and artist name?

I can't remember this - I clearly never used the database that way.

But when you check the covers of an artist you're familiar with, like: Eddie Clearwater , then you see all the submitted covers don't you? Are what is it that I don't understand?

Look under VirileVagabond submissions VirileVagabond As of now he has 1785 submissions.

Right now you see Title...Submitted...Status...Last Comment

Before the Title and Artist were separated.

That then allowed you to click on the artist and sort it in alphabetical order. That then allowed you to easily look down the list and see what artists you were familiar with.

If the user put different albums under the same artist at different time periods, they were now all together in one place. It seemed simple to me

All you have now is a jumble of titles, which doesn't help me or the user in anyway. Also, I'm trying to make sense of the usefulness as to why you would want to sort Last Comment?

Hopefully I explained that a lot better than before.

Though not exactly the same, you can filter on contribution title, which contains the artist name:

http://shs/participate?type=cover+submission-generic+submission&status=any&assig…

Does that fit your need? You even get the 'generic' submissions that you otherwise might miss.

Yikes! Can we no longer edit our posts? In an attempt to make things easier for the editors, I am constantly editing to add cross-references as a result subsequent posts. Just tried to do just that, but was...

Denied.., Rejected.., Verboten!

The "edit" function is valuable as well for correcting mistakes, which I tend to make periodically in submissions.

You can edit your own contributions again! You will see a pencil button to do so.

Thanks also for including the "need more info" option for submissions. Could you clarify what happens to those submissions? Do they disappear from the list of covers until the user provides the additional information required? I would support doing this by the way - but will the editor be alerted when the user replies and provides more information?

You can subscribe to updates with the "subscribe" button. It becomes an "unsubscribe" button when subscribed.

Mathieu,

Your link didn't work ---- Server not found

But I knew what you wanted me to do, I tried messing around with the "Contribution type" and "Status" buttons.

And "no" it doesn't fit my need, but then again I might be the only one doing it that way. It made artist searching easier for ME. I'll just do less user submissions coz I'm not going to sit there and scroll down every song looking for an artist I'm familiar with.

Thanx anyway.
