We have such song with P.Simon marked as writer of music in Estonia. Seems like author is incorrect and we're unable to identify still. This cover is from the 1971, if year does help.

The tune sounds quite familiar and it could be an early Simon & Garfunkel song, but production and language simply distract too much to recognize...

On the "Suveöö" compilation it is credited to an 'unknown artist' with Estonian lyrics by Kustas Kikerpuu, though.

The title translates to something like 'But maybe again tomorrow' or 'But possibly once more tomorrow'. Maybe that helps.

Just 2 cents. Kustas Kikerpuu made the translation to estonian. But from, not known. Could be finnish, could be any other source language

This sounds very much like a Chris Andrews composition to me, a singer/songwriter active in the 1960s. He wrote a number of hits for Sandie Shaw who remained popular on the Continent (incl. Finland and Estonia!) long after her British hey-days were over...... I would not be surprised if this is a translation of one of her album tracks written by Andrews.

The person who fits the era, the genre and the name is "Pat Simon" (Real name: Angelika Behrens Simon).

But who has access to her repertoire?

"Sprich nicht von gestern" which she co-wrote is a likely candidate.

Interesting suggestion, Walt, but also not easy to follow-up on. The artist cannot be found on Spotify or YouTube, so it is hard to listen to her songs.........

"Sprich nicht von gestern" which she co-wrote is a likely candidate.

It might have been - if it hadn't been released one year later than the track in question Smile.

One thing that puzzles me is the similarity of some vocal lines to "Save the Last Dance for Me" and of parts of the chorus of...?
