Can we get an extra tab on artists pages for "Covers Of This Artist"?

It's great that I can go check out to see what covers an artist has done, but I also like to find out who has covered a particular artist. I'm not seeing that information here and it seems like it would be a pretty easy DB query and UI update to make happen.

While that does seem like a good idea at first, the list could get really long for popular artists/songs. For instance, take popular American country musician Hank Williams.

We currently have 94 works originally performed by him in the database. Of those, 6 have been covered by 100+ artists. Even if you assume that some artists have covered multiple Hank Williams tunes, you're still looking at a list of well over 500 artists just from 6 songs.

It's ultimately up to Mathieu to make the call on this one, but I don't see it happening.

My initial reaction is to agree with OM's response. Expanding on his comments, let's say such a Tab is added listing all the artists that covered (e.g.) Hank Williams. Would you expect the site to filter out just the Hank covers by a listed cover artist upon clicking on their name or just go to the existing artist page?

In addition, some artists recorded the definitive version of a song but aren't the original, which would likely result in results that aren't complete from a typical user's perspective.

Thanks for your suggestion. Could you describe a use case? Or maybe why you would like to browse such a list?
