Les Mersey's were a French-Canadian group in the 1960s and in 1968 they recorded a French cover of Johnny Nash's Hold Me Tight: Elles se moquent de moi
On the B side of that single is a work by Jeff Barry in French called Tu es la plus jolie..........

Tu es la plus jolie is now on site and so is the original Andy Kim release How'd We Ever Get This Way..............
There was even a German cover: Anfangs tut es immer weh and here the lyrics are rather different from the French ones: "In the beginning it always hurts"......

This one wasn't entirely difficult to find due to the Andy Kim credit. Barry wrote over 800 songs but Kim only wrote 160-something. As I started going through songs written by both Kim and Barry, I noticed many of them were performed by Kim himself, so I started with his Greatest Hits album and found it pretty quickly from there.
