Here's a likely oddity. No autogen readily found, but looks to be a German "Pac-Man Fever" originally by Buckner & Garcia:

Came across while researching a likely In der Straße wohnst du

In der Strasse wohnst du · Gerald Mann

Highlights des Musical, Vol. 1

℗ 1983 montana

I don't have time to do much with it at the moment, but here is the Youtube video:

I can't believe there are twenty covers of this song. Working on them...

I know Pac-Man was huge in the 80s, but 20 covers? I didn't think the song was that popular

Apparently Pac-Man Fever was highly contagious....

Well, to be honest, some of these are covers by unnamed artists for albums like "Kids Party Music" and "Summertime Hits", etc.

BTW, Michael, Buckner & Garcia wrote the theme for "WKRP in Cincinnati", but you probably knew that already.

Found (and added) this one last night:

This is somehow related to a Pac-Man fan film that was made in 2012 or 2013 as sort of an extended teaser/trailer for a planned full-length film, but I don't think the full-length film was ever made (the fan film is on YouTube as well).

There's also this gem... I have no idea what they were thinking here (and yes, Bucker and Garcia were somehow involved in this as well).

There is also a grindcore version by Iron Butterfly. I can't find a Youtube video, thankfully.

Yes, they are two different artists.

Apple Music is not reliable. There are many cases where Apple Music combines two completely different artists with the same name, and other cases where Apple Music separates an artist on different pages if they use different performer aliases. I'm not saying these are the same artist, but ideally we'd find some other way to verify than rely on Apple Music or Amazon.

Separate point - 8 Bit Universe Records should probably be converted to self-released, shouldn't it, as per this previous discussion?
