Sebcat:

Quote from Jeff Chamberlain

I don't use Spotify.

You should be able to access from most web-browsers, just like Apple Music. If you click on the three dots to the right of any song, you can choose to copy the URL.

Seriously?

After all the justified objections by seriously working editors regarding Spotify?

Knowing that fully accessing Spotify is only available to subscribers and so internally discriminating non-subscribers?

Well aware of the fact that Spotify is a 3rd class source at best suitable to back up hard facts derived elsewhere?

This has be a delayed (but not at all funny) April 1st joke...

Glad that this option is available now. It will save a little trouble in the long run Smile

Sometimes a Spotify page soft locks my browser (i.e. the "back" click doesn't work), and I have to start the Google search again....

Most browsers let you access more than one previous page either by right-clicking on the "

Read. I don't use Spotify much myself, but the interface for editors to add spotify links is so simple to use that I generally add links if they show up.

Sorry, I am taking objection in someone dividing editors and CCs into "serious" ones and others who obviously in their mind are just a 'joke' because they might have a different opinion. Did noone else realize this impertinent insult against the management and everyone else who was either supporting this feature or is not against it? Some people really have no respect at all, are a disgrace to the community here and are so arrogant that they bring out the worst of me every time they express themselves. I sometimes do not even know myself anymore, but these people are such a read flag that I already stepped down as an editor because of them. I was able to work as a innocent submitter and satisfied with it until i was recognized again, made CC and drawn into more discussions again. Now again I am on the verge of closing my account because of their impertinence. Currently the only way of dealing these lowlifes for me is to insult them back as every statement of them is an insult either to me or the community. It's just sad, sorry, I am part of a lot of online discussions, forums and communities and I am able to deal with all of them just fine, but SHS is really the worst community in this regard because of a very limited number of mobbing, bragging, biased and narrowminded trolls who believe they should rule the world and who lost all (a vaccuum has more left) respect from my end and who in my opinion were able to take over the community as hostages and do not know when to do the world a favour and just shut up.

The editorial team certainly has people with passionate opinions, where sometimes I both disagree with the opinion and am puzzled by the passion Tongue

But I don't really see any attempt in this thread to insult anybody, let alone you specifically, so it seems that taking any of this as a personal slight is a needless escalation.

Thanks for trying to cool me down, I appreciate it. However it will not work unfortunately. Maybe only to be understood if you have the full history. Certain persons are just disrespectful to the bone and I am fed up with this. So fed up that indeed a logical explanation is impossible and a single word or action from these persons make me click into despise mode. To name a feature 'an April joke' that someone has put work into so that it can be added to the database and that brings a benefit to users as they are able now to listen to the audio of the song and that other editors and CCs will put work into as well by adding the information is just disrespectful for me. Especially as it is an optional feature. If it would really affect anything there might be a point, but here it is just niggling and bad behaviour once more. Nobody has to use it, right? The only thing to do at this point in time is to not take attention of it, if it is of no use for me. What in the world makes it necessary to start the comment with 'Seriously?', for me an equivalent of saying "You stupid fool, why did you add this nonsense?" and "Only idiots will use this." Wholeheartedly disrespectful. If others feel differently, that's ok, but for me it still is an insult that asks for insults in return until he learns to behave. I tried hard to let it go, but I can't so I get down onto the same level now. Not wise, but more healthy than to swallow the constant impertinence that makes me sick. Likely time to leave for good at some point any time soon again, which is sad as I really like the database and the work on it and the thought of letting this behaviour win is sickening. Unfortunately it seems to be the case once again.
