As far as I remember, the multiple Odeons were created to narrow down releases to their original country of release and to dewarp Odeon - and if looking at Odeon [SE] (managed by yourself), it once more seems you and me (this time + Frode) stand for the vast majority of attributed releases - again with no problematic issues...
Yes, but why did we seperate Odeon and not Philips for example ? this is inconsistent behaviour and I myself plead guilty of course. After taking all pros and cons into account, my wish now is a merge of all Odeons...
I trust you on the Metronome issue, but also here, I wouldn't mind a merger (just to simplify things), for purists, we could make an explanatory comment.
We both could (have) and did split up so many labels/companies, already. As long as done thoroughly and with expertise, I surely appreciate. But in (too) many cases, that's been/is being done somewhat unmindfully and/or simply (mis)interpreting (partly incorrect) discogs introductions.
As obviously/partly leading to incorrect attributions, one of the main problems seems to be cat. no. logistics being shared between various (sub)labels, local branches etc. operat(ed) under one company roof.
Both above are reasons why I a) diligently strive to add releases to label series, but only do so if such both exist and apply, and b) only attribute labels, subcompanies etc. after thorough investigation *, but (feel obliged to) revise such if encountered.
So, yes, things could partly be easier with less diversification...

Bastien, it is nearly always written clearly on the labels and/or the sleeves. Often it's already obvious by the artists and/or the titles.
Having had a look at both label pages: Except for very few releases and four smaller groups of label series on the Metronome Records one, which belong on the [DE] page, everybody seems to be coping pretty well.
The releases listed in the following Metronome Records label series have German titles, were released by Metronome GmbH (= DE) and manufactured in Germany (so are examples for what was said above):

M 25 xxx

Also, I'm sure the rest of my comment you quoted from, partly a conclusion of previous posts, and the many other ones posted also serve to make "it" obvious.
Btw., the editors mentioned in https://secondhandsongs.com/message/197141 all knew what to do, and to the few adding others the label comments/descriptions for the two Metronomes (being among the most detailed we have) seem to be helpful guidance.
