Not only appreciating, but also rewarding Mark's dedicated over-all work and often rightly questioning certain circumstances plus his specific expertise and great comprehension of matters, the consequent conclusion of suggesting to 'move on, now' can only mean to assign him a 'regular' editor asap.

But that has been said by various editors elsewhere, anyway. So what are we waiting for?

Erik, thanks for posting the above. I appreciate your support and recognition. You have done this unsolicited before and I thank you. I'm clearly at least a peer of most anyone on this site but it is what it is. It's Bastien's site and he should be able to choose however he likes. My style can offend and I get that. No one likes people who suggest things that upset the status quo or questions what they have done previously (except for Thom (CarlDennis) who has been a godsend for correcting things). But luckily I have been able to improve some things around here since I started regardless! I just want the ability to fix bad release images or mistakes. I'm not concerned with a title.

Is there also a(n additional) way to make submitters aware of where/how to look for work numbers?

Good question. Let's look deeper into this matter once#3169 is implemented.

Bastien, you know pretty well that I never deleted any correct Spotify links or urged others to do so.

Erik, please stop bending the truth. We have the logs of you deleting Spotify links - Mathieu even had to manually re-add them "en masse" to repair te damage done. And we also have the logs of you discouraging a heavy user from adding Spotify links. How far do you want to push my goodwill?

We appreciate users and editors challenging the status quo, that is certainly not the problem.

Put it the way you want it Erik, but we will not tolerate deleting correct Spotify links nor discouraging other editors and users from adding Spotify links

I definitely don't want to stretch this forever. But, unfortunately and to avoid "bending the truth", this requires answering.

a) the above emphasis was on correct

b) logs also show the those days advise to me to in certain circumstances delete Spotify links

c) I never denied to at the time only for a few days accordingly having deleted a couple of in that sense redundant Spotify links. I'm very sorry for Mathieu's having been compelled to carry the can and spend precious time on reversing - in the context probably the biggest damage done

d) yes, I once internally asked a now CC not to unneccessarily add Spotify links - which was taken to public and made a state affair instead of adequately sorting it out internally. No logs needed to follow that up.

Already having been blamed so many times for c) and d), I was puzzled to once more between the lines face the feigning that deleting Spotify links is constanly on my agenda. Hence my good-will reaction as in the quote.

Yes, please! We need to reduce submissions only referring to authoring credits as per Youtube, iTunes etc.

Thanks in advance.

Oh yes, we need to make the already kinda clunky new original submission process even clunkier by asking for some number that has no meaning or value to the average user and whose submission has a material chance of pro forma rejection after an apathetic editor subsequently adds on their own.

Writing credits aren't usually in dispute, but there are cases on SHS which are clearly wrong in my view and are without a doubt inconsistent when compared to other works on site, The inconsistent treatment has resulted in my not treating SHS as authoritative in the grey cases.

Perhaps a work#, producer's body mass index, and arranger's astrological sign would be different, but my personal experience with the image field for new artist's may be a guide. When this field was added to the submission form, I played around with it for a short while; however, more often than not the processing editor preferred a different crop or a completely different picture. The completed field makes the completed submission look terrible to my eyes as well. I quickly stopped worrying about finding images.

And you've officially pushed it too far now.
