Different lyrics - cover or adaption?

Thanks for the source. The Hound Dog chapter goes from p61-66. Unfortunately, on Google Books pages 65 and 66 are missing, possibly the pages that are mentioning the Elvis version. Do you have them by any chance?

So a foreign language cover is, by definition, an adaptation. Which is fine.

Would you distinguish between a foreign language cover which is a straight translation and one which tells a completely different story to the original?

David King Juliane Werding - am Tag als Conny Kramer starb (The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down) is an obvious example.

To make that distinction the contributor would need to understand the foreign lyrics.

On a practical point, how do I add an English-language parody to an English-language original? Once I define the language as English, I do not have the option to change the composer/lyricist.

Stumbled across this while going through the Christmas EP by Mangled Carpenter... I looked closely into that one, since I didn't believe there were many Germans who could relate to fictional events that took place during the American Civil War (and I'm afraid we are about to have another). It can be difficult, especially when one song might be an adaptation of another, rather than the original tune.
