The implementation of tags allows us all kind of interesting new statistics, one being: "Which are the works that has generated the most versions that became hit songs?"
NB: In our database, a song is a hit song if it went as high as Top20 in any chart worldwide. The relevancy of the chart in question is up to the editor's discretion.
We have only started tagging, so the following chart is by no means representative, but it's to give you a glimpse of the possibilities... and to motivate you to keep on tagging (NB: Any user with access level Certified Contributor or higher can tag songs).
- Send Me the Pillow You Dream On: 5 hit songs
- Everlasting Love: 4 hit songs
- Release Me (And Let Me Love Again) : 4 hit songs
Send Me the Pillow You Dream On was hit for Hank Locklin (1949), Lydia (1959), The Browns (1960), Johnny Tillotson (1962) and Dean Martin (1965).
