And CCR's version is still the best in my opinion - especially the long version Tongue

Unchained Melody was a hit for the Righteous Brothers in 1965 (#4 on Billboard). This song was even more popular in 1955 when three versions were in Billboard's top 10 at the same time. For example, the May 28, 1955 BB Best Sellers in Stores chart had

2 Les Baxter - Unchained Melody

5 Al Hibbler - Unchained Melody

9 Roy Hamilton - Unchained Melody

Also the BB R&B Best Sellers in Stores chart for that issue had

1 Roy Hamilton - Unchained Melody

2 Al Hibbler - Unchained Melody

Around the same time the version of Unchained Melody by June Valli made the BB top 30 but not the top 20.

Jimmy Young's version of Unchained Melody was a big British hit. We now have 5 hit versions of that song.

Oldiesmann you should get rating in that case Smile

Rated it. Also added the video for the album version since the existing video was for the single version (left that one as well given that the album version is nearly 7½ minutes longer than the single version). It's #10 now Tongue
