According to the EP Syrius , a Los Bravos song. However, there is no such Los Bravos song.

Does any recognize the song?

I haven't done my research at SGAE or ISWC yet... but I suspect that the credits of that original in English (by Los Bravos) are not correct.

You bring the famous Mapel (Augusto Algueró Algueró)... but this artist is not mentioned as an author on the release... and that would be an unforgivable oblivion.

However, the British musician Ivor Raymonde ... who appears in the credits on the release... is absent in the result obtained by you.

Something is not right in the results shown by SGAE (see Attachment)

ISWC T-042.009.304-4 gives these two and also has alternative titles Vive, Baby Baby and Tu dici ciao.

No mention of Raymonde

Everything that follows is hypothetical but is based on previous knowledge and the data supplied by the release. Point 4 is not hypothetical.

Historical process:

1. We have a musical work (called Vive) in Spanish whose author is Manolo Díaz. Mapel is an arranger (for the presentation of the work in SGAE).

2. That song is offered to Los Bravos.

3. Ivor Raymonde writes the English lyrics for that piece.

4. The song is recorded (in English) by Los Bravos with the title Baby, Baby (Vive), with the next credits: Ivor Raymonde, Manolo Díaz.

So a Spanish original with an English translation by Raymonde.

And quite possibiy the original Spanish language version has never been recorded?

For now, I have no proof that the original Spanish song ("Vive") has been recorded.

I don't think so, that happens all the time.

I have added the non-hypothetical part to the comments of the work Vive :

Bastien

The way this original has been left in SHS does not convince me.

The original is not Vive .... the real original is Baby, Baby (a song written in English).

We must start from the piece sung by Los Bravos in English. That's the true original.

In this case, SGAE does not work. It doesn't give really useful information...

Our only source must be the release itself.

PD

I think "Vive" is written in Spanish. (See Atachments)

SIAE's not helpful either:

ISWC listing Vive as the root work is probably based on SGAE data:

This is also interesting:

... because there is no trace of Raymonde nor Alguero.

dany Base on the above, I made a few changes that go in the direction of what you proposed:
