Super excited about this enhancement! There is so much to discover this way! Thank you, Mathieu, for implementing this and you, Bastien , for supporting this idea! Smile

I tried it out and this is the first interesting result I've got: there are less than 10 original non-English songs created in 21st century (from 2000 to 2022) that have more than 10 covers! I awaited much higher number. These are the rankings:

Despacito (61 versions, Spanish)

Jardin d'hiver (33 versions, French)

Gabriellas sång (29 versions, Swedish)

Я сошла с ума {Ya soshla s uma} (21 versions, Russian)

Dragostea din tei (16 versions, Romanian)

L'envie d'aimer (15 versions, French)

Ama credi e vai (14 versions, Italian)

Acaso (13 versions, in Portuguese)

I know 4 songs of the top 5 - the Swedish "entry" is a surprise for me. Smile

Actually, I found one more non-English song with 21 versions: Lux Aeterna - it's marked as "Latin", but I think it is a mistake as there seem to be no lyrics in this work. Thus, unless anyone has any objections, I will mark it as an instrumental work.

This appears to be another way how to discover wrongly marked languages. When I searched for most covered French works from 2000 to 2022, I found two songs with English names in top 10 (Second Chance and Nothing Is Too Wonderful to Be True) - and both of them turned out to be marked as French by mistake. Hence, I could fix that easily.

Could potentially be confusing as well. Maybe change it to Release year of first released version?

Depends...

If going for an exact year, songs first released in 1990 should be fine.

If going for decades, it would have to be songs first released in the 1990s.

"Maybe you'd like to know which song first released in (year) was the most covered one" might indeed be clearer, but I reckon the many native speakers (three of those being Managing editors) may know better than me Smile

Or maybe "Original year(s)" would suffice?
