Some will recall that I had recently two error reports rejected because I aimed to correct two spelling mistakes (Mannone with one n too many; Cludia Terres with two rr where two ll should be) and the decision was to keep what was wrong because it was printed in the label/back cover of the records. A strict rule.

Now I stumbled into “I ran all the way home”.

There are two songs with that expression in their titles:

1 I ran all the way home by Bennie Benjamin and George David Weiss

2 Sorry (I ran all the way home) by Harry Giosasi and Artie Zwirn

Both are in SHS:

I Ran All the Way Home

Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)

That’s when I found a version by Brendan Bowyer of song 2 with the names of the authors of song 1 printed in the label

Better still when I met Emile Ford running all the way home.

SHS says it’s song 2: I Ran All the Way Home

But I found it in a Pye single that says it’s song 2 with the authors of song 1:

And I even found an LP the label of which shows that the author of the song is Conway Twitty

In conclusion, because it’s in print and in a record label is SHS sticking to the policy of considering wrong things right and use the wrong information, or discard the wrong information because it’s wrong?

If so, remember that mispelt information is wrong information too.

A mispell is a miscredit.

Why don't you correct to Claudia Telles and state that in the back cover it's miscredited to Claudia Terres.

I would very much agree and my two rejections (Claudia Terres and Mannone) whould be reverted.
