When available, filling in the bar code is mandatory

Insert the EAN code in one piece, without any spaces. If this is done correctly the EAN box will be checked automatically, else you're doing something wrong.

UPC codes are only 12 digits long. To make them fit, add a "0" upfront.

Digital releases have bar codes also: Check whether they are listed in ISRC or Mills Records Company (G)

Bar codes are unique in the database. In the rare case that a label has attributed the same bar code to 2 distinct releases:
- Add the bar code in one release
- Leave the bar code blank in the other release
- And indicate the editor notes of both releases that they share a bar code
