Composers vs Arrangers
SGAE lists all contributors per work: Composers, authors AND arrangers. However, they claim that due to Spanish data protection law, they're not allowed to publish each of the contributors's role.
Example: For "Todo lo que se" ISWC Augusto Algueró as arranger, but SGAE simply as creator.
By consequence, ALL SGAE entries should be carefully challenged in order to filter out the arrangers. To do so,
- Verify the ISWC database
- Admittedly, quite incomplete for SGAE entries but expected to improve soon.
- Verify the the physical releases
Outdated ISWC work codes
Around 2021/2022, SGAE has re-synced their data with ISWC, resulting in a lot more SGAE-registered works in ISWC, but also in updated ISWC codes. By consequence you might get the following error:
Those outdated codes often start with T-041...
Simply research the new ISWC work code in SGAE and replace the previous ISWC code with it.
