- According to the liner notes of "The Ultimate Collection", the Average White Band recorded their version of "Miss Sun" during the recording sessions for their "Shine" album, well before the Boz Scaggs' version. However, for copyright reasons the Average White Band was not allowed to release the song, as a result of which it ended up in the vaults.
