Actually performed by The Blossoms with Darlene Love on lead vocals
This can be considered a simultaneous original with the Vikki Carr version. Both were recorded at the same time in the same studio complex. Both recordings went to the same pressing plant where their control numbers are one number apart. The Crystals version got the first public performance on radio station KFWB in Los Angeles, as reported in the book "He's a Rebel" by Mark Ribowsky. - Rating
