On the first pressing, Metallica was mis-spelled as Mettallica. Its recording was made by James, Lars and Dave Mustaine, with additional lead guitar solo by Lloyd Grant. On later pressings, the spelling was corrected and a new recording used with Ron McGovney on bass and all lead guitar parts by Mustaine.
