- In 1999, Hank Williams, Jr. updated the lyrics of his song for the new millenium and both Hank and George Jones recorded it with Chad Brock on Brock's 1999 single A Country Boy Can Survive - Y2K Version. For this 2003 tribute album they re-recorded the Y2K version with John Anderson. This album only titled the song "A Country Boy Can Survive" so SHS has added [Y2K] in brackets to make it apparent this was the updated lyrical version of the song.
