The Irish newspaper Independent.ie created the Windmill Lane Sessions as an online series to promote some of the best Irish and international musical acts on the Irish scene. The venue, Windmill Lane recording studios in Dublin, is famously associated with U2. The multi-media sessions include interviews and live music, which often incorporates cover versions. This album compiles a selection of the recordings and was sold to raise funds for the Irish Youth Foundation.
