- The cast album had been delayed for years because of rights issues and legal disputes over the score. The original lead for the Baron, David Carroll [1], died at the recording studio. He was replaced by Brent Barrett for the cast recording, but is remembered through inclusion of a solo cabaret performance in 1991 as a bonus track.
