RCA Victor originally intended this disc to be released in mid-October to coincide with the publication of the November 1955 issue of Pageant Magazine. This issue contained a 10 page spread on Jaye P. Morgan and included a disc with a shortened version of "If You Don't Want My Love," which appears in the B-side of this release. When executives at RCA Victor found out that the Victor subsidiary Label "X" was about to release Gisele MacKenzie's version of "Pepper Hot Baby" (found on the A-side of this release), the Jaye P. Morgan disc was rushed to release at the beginning of October.
